Veterinary Herbal Medicine offers a natural alternative to conventional treatments, addressing a variety of health issues in pets.

It can help boost the immune system, improve digestion, reduce inflammation, and alleviate chronic conditions such as arthritis.

Systematic reviews of clinical trials of herbal medicines consistently show a very low incidence of side effects of herbal preparations in comparison to pharmaceuticals and herb-drug interactions with conventional drugs are rare.

Research into the physiological effects of herbal medicines is increasing exponentially, revealing ways, to utilise plants to successfully assist treatment of cancer, infections, inflammation and counteract tissue degeneration.

The use of Herbal Medicine can enhance the effects of acupuncture and reduce the amount of follow up visits required, if used correctly.

CBD (Cannabidiol)

CBD (Cannabidiol) has gained attention for its potential therapeutic benefits in veterinary medicine. It has been researched for a variety of medicinal effects in humans, and more recently, its applications have been extended to pets. CBD can assist with a range of conditions such as epilepsy, arthritis, chronic pain, anxious or depressed behaviours, cancer, and certain neurodegenerative disorders. Particularly in palliative care, CBD may provide relief and improve quality of life. A thorough consultation is necessary to determine if CBD is a suitable treatment option for a pet's specific condition.
